The Yuguang Building, which also houses the Jinling Research Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University, covers a total site area of 14,000 square meters. The building was designed by AcademicianQi Kang, a master architect, with a total project investment of RMB 19.27 million. Of this amount, RMB 4.6 million was donated by the children of President Yuguang Chen, RMB 300,000 was contributed by alumni, and RMB 3 million was provided as supporting funds by the Ministry of Agriculture. The remaining funds were raised by Nanjing Agricultural University.

The complex consists of two interconnected wings, a north wing and a south wing, with a total designed floor area of 9,333 square meters. The south wing has three stories, while the north wing has six.

The Yuguang Building is equipped with the YuguangChenMemorial Hall (featuring a bronze bust of President Chen),the NAU HistoryMuseum, a multi-functional hall, conference halls, and reception rooms. These facilities support scientific research and teaching, academic exchange, alumni engagement, and conference activities.
